And this journey rests within the personal transformation of Ashoka&#8217;s life; from a cruel and ruthless Chandashoka to Dharmashoka,\u00a0who\u00a0embraced non-violence and\u00a0the principles of Buddhism and ruled with the welfare of his subjects uppermost in mind.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14.0pt;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14.0pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.arteastic.in\/blog\/the-saga-of-odisha\/\">Odisha (Kalinga)<\/a> is the keystone in this transformation, as it was after the brutal Kalinga war that Ashoka was racked with remorse, and eschewed violence.
