Kantha silk saree with peacock blue base and cream border, with multi-colour kantha embroidery all over the body, with contrast colour blouse piece. This saree is directly sourced from Shantiniketan, West Bengal where it is hand-embroidered by the women, on pure Bishnupuri silk base using multi- colour silk threads.
This is a traditional design called Sujni Kantha stitch where the stiches run from top to bottom of the saree in a straight line. Use of multi-colour threads give the simple design a vibrant look. The contrasting blouse piece enhances the contemporary look.
