Kantha silk saree with electric
blue base, with heavy multi-colour kantha embroidery on the border and all over
the body, with same colour blouse piece. The motifs used are of the traditional
bengali floral design, with pumpkin flower and leaf motifs, embroidered with
the traditional yellow, red, green and off-white silk threads. The saree
has heavy embroidery work on the border and the body. The aanchal looks
especially gorgeous with heavy floral patterns with vibrant colours.
This saree is directly sourced from
Shantiniketan, West Bengal where it is hand-embroidered by the women, on pure
Bishnupuri silk base. The bright base with multi-colored embroidery gives the
saree an elegant yet vibrant look. Suitable for evening wear for women of all
ages.
