This embroidery style is called 'Reverse Kantha' where the motifs are created
by filling up the empty spaces with running stitches. The patterns with floral
motifs and birds are also very traditional and authentic Bengali design.
This saree is directly sourced from Shantiniketan, West Bengal where it is
hand-embroidered by the women, on pure Bishnupuri Silk. A traditional yet smart
looking saree for women of all age. of
all ages.
