Kantha silk saree with a brick-red
base and off-white silk thread embroidery work. This is a unique embroidery
style called Reverse Kantha where the floral and bird motifs are created
by filling up the empty spaces with running stitches . The heavy embroidery
work can be seen on the aanchal and blouse piece. The embroidery work also runs
from corner to corner of the body of the saree.
This
saree is directly sourced from Shantiniketan, West Bengal where it is
hand-embroidered by the women on pure Bishnupuri silk.
The
cream coloured thread on brick-red base gives the saree an extremely smart and
contemporary look. Suitable for elegant ladies of all age.
